Working on some new deck-style artillary turrets. Unsure what ship it'll go onto atm, but it'll most likely be used on two or three varieties.

Comes in two flavours: light turret for smaller vessels, heavy turrets for larger vessels.

I like the bayonet things. Gives it a look like... I dunno, like a railgun or something. Not that I know what a railgun looks like, but they look like they're there for some greater purpose.
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

They almost look like harpoons.  As if they could fire off on tethers and hold a ship down in the perfect position to blow it to pieces.

I think the second one looks great, but the first, light turret looks too similar, like someone simply plucked out the two flanking barrels and called it a light turret. :p

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

That's pretty much it. The single one is supposed to be a 'light' version of the sccond, to be fitted on smaller ships that dont have the ammo capacity to use a triple-barreled turret.

You might like this though: another new, general purpose-effective-against-anything turret.

Being hit by fighters that evade too well? Hit them with double flak cannons that spew shrapnel in a wide area! Or even better, launch missiles and watch them dodge that! Being annoyed by that pesky shielded bomber that flies through your perfectly clean carpet of flak? Blast them away with the top-side laser cannon! Got a gunship that's coming a wee bit too close? No problem! Just activate the side beam cannons and it's history! All this with teh new Scary Turret v5.3! Now with self-shield generator and enhanced armor plating for better defense! Order today!
