I believe he praises Inferno as 'closest to FS3 as we're gonna get' namely in terms of adding new content. Derelict may have one of the best campaign stories out there, but Inferno has three completely new Fleets, and - at least aesthetically - is the most 'sequel-like' of FS2's pantheon of mods.

Before you all start getting all chest-thumpy about the mention of FS3 remember that the sore point is people asking the same questions about it over and over again.

This on the other had was new. Probably nothing more than a rumour but new nonetheless.

Yea, what bothers me about FS3 is when everyone and their great great long lost uncle come in and ask when it's bieng made, and say that they heard Derek Smart is gonna be making it OMGWTFYAY. Any new rumors and such are good for discussion.

And sorry, but Inferno...I don't know why everyone (seems to be mostly the new people) say that it's FS3. It's just another mod to me; alright, but not the best. It's just the biggest. No offense to the Inferno crew, you did a great job, but I wouldn't call it FS3.

My main objective in posting this thread was to see if it had been corroborated by any other source, and ideally to get a scan of the relevant section like we had in the PCGamer UK thread.
