.COB Importer for 3ds Max

sorry if this has been asked before. does anyone know where to get a plugin for 3ds max 8 that allows importing of .cob files? i wanted to edit aa ship in 3ds max, but apparently i have to go through a .cob file format first. what's the best way of getting a .cob file into 3ds max?

AFAIK there is no cob importer. You'd have to use a third program, such as 3dexploration of deepexploration.
