launcher command lines?
I checked the more detailed FAQ in one of the stickied topics and there was a link to the WIKI i think with all the command lines. The link however is broken...

I'm looking for the command line that allows you to progress in missions even though you use cheats.

Got a link to the page with a broken link?

Re: launcher command lines?
strange, u need a flag for that? I used a few cheats on a few missions because they kept throwing me to desktop so I tried to find the problem, but even with those cheats I just moved on to next mission?:S

Re: launcher command lines?
Actually I think I misread the question. I thought he was after the one that let you see all the missions in the techroom. As far as I'm aware FS2 allows you to progress with the cheats on.

Re: launcher command lines?
Hmmm I swear I could remember at one time using -cheat or something like that...

I could be wrong, it has been about 2 years since I last entered the FreeSpace universe... now I'm reinstalling everything I have before...

Anywho, the broken link is on this page at the bottom of the first post. It says "more advanced options" or something like that.

Pointed it at my FAQ for now. I'll have a look on the SCP site for the link it was supposed to be pointing at later today.

Re: launcher command lines?
The command-line wiki reference is really easy to find.  It's linked to off the front page, IIRC.

And it is.  Third one in the SCP section.  http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Command-Line_Reference

Re: launcher command lines?
Yeah but the link on the page turned out to be the one to the SCP install page rather than the command line reference :)

-allslev isn't documented anyway.

Re: launcher command lines?
I don't know if its not in the launcher since we don't want users to cheat through the campaign or what.  Its like a 2 minute change to put it in.

Re: launcher command lines?
It would have to be considered a dev tool, which would be ok, but would expose a rather spoiler-rich cheat to people who have never played the game before.  You can, after all, cheat through the campaign if you want to, but you still must progress through all of the missions.  -allslev makes storytelling impossible.  I'm of the opinion that people who need it should know about it, and people who don't know about it generally shouldn't be using it.

Re: launcher command lines?
I dunno, if you REALLY want to see what the other missions are you'll just pull them out of the VP.
But there's other times when like you lose your old pilot and just want to play your favourite mission from the campaign quickly, and allslev would do the job. I'm sure I'm not the only person that's wanted to use it for this.

If you don't play through campaigns properly you'll jsut be losing out on things like effects of carried over variables or carried over ship loadouts.
