I knew one of you people would be all over it like a wet blanket.
Truth is, yes, he gets a sweet deal out of it, if he complies with the simple requirements of paying a fine, and doing the rehab program for a year and a half, he will have the charge either sealed or expunged from his record.
By the way, Limbaugh willingly turned himself in, Cops and or DEA did NOT go in and raid his mansion or the EIB building. Get that outta yer head right now cause that's simply not the truth. Now, if Limbaugh didn't turn himself in, he wouldn't be able to get this sweet deal of his.
Mefustae, if you're serious about your question.. Rush Limbaugh is a republican talk show host, which is the #1 talk show broadcast in this country. He used to be on television back in the early 90's, but only does radio now. Pro republican, anti democrat, anti liberal talk show host.
I think it's too good. I believe there's something behind the scenes here. Other people have been scarred for life over less serious charges. I, myself do not listen to Limbaugh anymore. Ever since Bush has been president, he's said some things that I just not agree with. Recently though, I was listening in on the radio show and I heard him talking about how Gas prices absolutely must be higher than they are today. He also has no consideration for poor people in this country, thinking that anyone can go out and get a 5.15/hr job and still pay for gas when it reaches 4-5$ a gallon. Limbaugh IS a mouthpiece for the Republican party. Though I would not call him a true conservative, his values seem to be wherever Bush's values are. As Michael Savage pointed out on his show yesterday, it makes you wonder if he's saying what he is because of all the pills he's taken. If he's doped up on painkillers while doing his radio show, that might explain why he says the things he does, because he's off in la-la land due to the painkillers.
With that said, a much better radio talk show though that I like much more than any conservative host would be Michael Savage. Sure, he yells and screams, and he wishes America was like it was in the 50's, but at least he's critical of BOTH sides, and critical of Bush an awful lot. Savage is an independent conservative, and doesn't give a **** about who or what's in power or popular to talk about, he tells it as it is, and lets the listeners decide.
