Too bad its only on a drug charge.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Re: Rush Limbaugh arrested
"He was released an hour later on $3,000 bail.

Limbaugh’s attorney, Roy Black, said his client and prosecutors reached a settlement on a charge of doctor shopping.

Under the deal, Limbaugh would eventually see the charge dismissed in 18 months if he continues treatment for drug addiction, Black said."

Sorry to burst the bubble.

I never said he was charged, only arrested.

Considering the current condition of the American media, you're going to have to be a little more specific than that.

Pudgy Republican mouthpiece who is possibly more right-wing than Reagan and Bush combined.

A little better?
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.

Re: Rush Limbaugh arrested
I knew one of you people would be all over it like a wet blanket.
Truth is, yes, he gets a sweet deal out of it, if he complies with the simple requirements of paying a fine, and doing the rehab program for a year and a half, he will have the charge either sealed or expunged from his record.
By the way, Limbaugh willingly turned himself in, Cops and or DEA did NOT go in and raid his mansion or the EIB building.  Get that outta yer head right now cause that's simply not the truth.  Now, if Limbaugh didn't turn himself in, he wouldn't be able to get this sweet deal of his.

Mefustae, if you're serious about your question..  Rush Limbaugh is a republican talk show host, which is the #1 talk show broadcast in this country.  He used to be on television back in the early 90's, but only does radio now.  Pro republican, anti democrat, anti liberal talk show host.

I think it's too good.  I believe there's something behind the scenes here.  Other people have been scarred for life over less serious charges.  I, myself do not listen to Limbaugh anymore.  Ever since Bush has been president, he's said some things that I just not agree with.  Recently though, I was listening in on the radio show and I heard him talking about how Gas prices absolutely must be higher than they are today.  He also has no consideration for poor people in this country, thinking that anyone can go out and get a 5.15/hr job and still pay for gas when it reaches 4-5$ a gallon. Limbaugh IS a mouthpiece for the Republican party.  Though I would not call him a true conservative, his values seem to be wherever Bush's values are.  As Michael Savage pointed out on his show yesterday, it makes you wonder if he's saying what he is because of all the pills he's taken.  If he's doped up on painkillers while doing his radio show, that might explain why he says the things he does, because he's off in la-la land due to the painkillers.

With that said, a much better radio talk show though that I like much more than any conservative host would be Michael Savage.  Sure, he yells and screams, and he wishes America was like it was in the 50's, but at least he's critical of BOTH sides, and critical of Bush an awful lot.  Savage is an independent conservative, and doesn't give a **** about who or what's in power or popular to talk about, he tells it as it is, and lets the listeners decide.

The Republican party hasn't been conservative in any meaningful sense of the words in years.

He's also an idiotic sensationalist. One of his books is titled "Liberalism is a mental disorder". I was reading the inside cover excerpts and couldn't figure out if it was meant to be bad humor or was the writing of a madman.

I'm not sure if he understands the Constitution either. He apparently supports the Sedition Act of 1918 and wants it to be re-introduced. His reason? He wants to censor popular news sources like ABC and CBS.

Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman

For the record, yes I was serious, as I don't listen to all that much American radio, what with my living on another continent and all.

And thankyou, that explanation reminded me...

Correct?

Too bad nobody busted into his house to arrest him... that would've been sweet. I can see the SWAT team now...
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.
