No, I suppose I wouldn't... *blag* still are Christan, in which all denominations have basicly the same core belifes, and (unless I'm mistaken) gays are included in that.

Okay, let's get this straight. No one likes gay people except for gay people. Under the Christan veiw of gays, God 'permits' them to be gay (the same way he 'permits' diseases, natural disasters, other horrbile events to occur), but they cannot act on being gay and must abstain from sexual contact. Muslims (sorry if I did not research enough and got it wrong) squarely do not like gays. As for the Jewish faith, Male-Male intercourse was(?) a capitol offense in Isrel, and today they view gays as very bad.

I like gay people.  They have to struggle with adversity and bigotry, yet seem not to want to blow up stuff or have angry pickets.

But so long as you don't, y'know, attack or hurt other people because of your beliefs, I'm not going to complain about you holding them.  Vehemently disagree, perhaps, and oppose any enforcement of them, but not say you can't hold them.

I spent several years playing in a band with 2 gay members, funnily enough, they never once tried to tell me how to live my life or what sexuality I should be, nor did they try to make me gay, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't know where to start :)

Sorry, let me clarify "no one likes gay people". (by like I meant "ohh! gay people are my hero!") I meant "most people don't not like gay people". That means that ( I think) most people and indifferent about gays. (Sorta like how almost all Muslims aren't terrorists, but some people still view them as Ts) ( I don't view them as Ts)

What's wrong with gay people? There are a few at my school, and they're well liked by students and teachers.

Catholic school btw.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with gay people. I simply resarched the views of various mainstream religions and posted my findings.

Mmmmm, but religions are highly open to interpretation and ferverent belief is pretty rare in quite a few western countries.

Re: Marine's Father Sues Funeral Protesters
There is only one parish like that, and as stated in the video, it is pretty small. :)

It's a shame that a fervent religious group could be so fervent to the point of being wrong.

I am positive that if Jesus was here today He would look down upon them.

Re: Marine's Father Sues Funeral Protesters
Actually, I think one saint proved that God existed. He said stuff like " what created the Earth" then something like "what created the event that casued the thing that created the earth?" then "what created the Big Bang that caused the thing that created the Earth?" and he kept doing that until the only thing that could create the thing was an omni-potent/sciente deity.

That's not a valid proof. It's a poor thought experiment that makes certain unfounded assumptions, such as the assumption that causality has meaning outside the Universe.
Religions tend to be based upon what people see but attempt to explain what we cannot. Thing is, the way the world appears to work is only a subset of the way the Universe actually works, so such 'common sense' reasoning is pretty much useless as soon as it leaves our atmosphere.

Re: Marine's Father Sues Funeral Protesters
I remember that 'proof' by Saint Anselm - essentially, it is far from being an actual proof, and even he admitted it.  Also, I would suspect we've come rather further in explaining the world than we had in the 11th C, when it was written.

If we're all done now, can we get back to celebrating the imminent demise of the WBC?

At least if they actually manage to find the friggin' money this time...

EDIT: Dear god that spelling sucked. I really ought to go to sleep having been awake more then 36 hours now...

* nuclear1 agrees with this
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!
