my cutscenes dont work!!!

I put them in the freespace 2 folder and when the game starts, it goes straight to a BSoD.

I have the K-lite Codec Pack installed.  Could this be causing the problem?

How can I fix this?

I wouldn't think the K-Lite pack would be causing the problem, but as a slight aside, I'd recommend you don't use it, it contains 'other' stuff as well as codecs iirc, I recall hearing somewhere that it has spyware in it.

What happens if you run the game with mve movies or with no movies at all?

it runs fine with no movies.
I havent tried MVE movies....

This might be that ATI movie crash bug. I don't think that was ever fixed.

Try getting the XviD codec. I think there is a copy floating around in Kara's FAQ.
