The Targeting laser actually does somthing Aldo? I'm sorry, I had no idea when I wrote the vet comments for it... will it ever work in SCP?
Works without SCP, actually, you just need to edit in the SSM.tbl to have the right entries to spawn in bombs from subspace (
http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,9704.msg176113.html#msg176113). I'm not sure if the SCP corrected the other issues - energy use & firing point - for it though. Quite probably, given that we have proper fighterbeams nowadays.
I'm 99% it was officially removed because of the balance issues (effectively unlimited ammo), but I don't have a source for it so it's down as a maybe. I
think the SCP added in support for TAG-C to have the same effect, not 100% sure.
