Ok hopefully someone does answer this quite lengthy question.

I want to use a model from Fs2 for a render, now first thing is I extract the pof file, I chose the deimos and then I extracted the necessary pcx files listed with modview for the deimos corvette and put them in one folder. I then use pof to cob converter chosing LOD 0 and double click on the cob file and enter Truespace5. Now heres my problem, the textures aren't loading and I tried zooming out, using the camera, using eye rotate to get the deimos corvette visible completely on the screen but all I can see is the surface or interior of the corvette.

Does anyone know how to correct these problems.

Anyhelp would be great

Max

the ship always imports (at least into truespace) sideways and really big. scale the ship way down and then rotate it 90 degrees until it looks normal.

the textures are there, they are just set to overlay so they will show up white. just inspect part of the ship, un-check the overlay box, then use the roller brush to paint back over the section you inspected. do this to all the textures until the ship is completely textured.

and remember to flip all normals.

Don't know what the overlay box is or looks like so I need some help for that part. For this texture process, perhaps there could be a quicker way. I know that the textures automatically loaded once before but then I deleted the cob file and it had not worked anymore.

without knowing anything about TS   I was goint to say that it looks as if the POLI are reversed, try flipping them   or reverse the normal when importing the model.
I have a copy of Truespace 4  here  but it is a mirror image of a cd  and I still have not worked out how to restore it so I can install it  and hopefully  use it.
