Need some tech support with my wireless connection
Ok, so I've got the laptop in my room and I'm using it with my 3Com OfficeConnect 11g Wireless Adapter, and it's connected to my Linksys basestation with a good signal...but every five minutes or so, I get disconnected and have to reconnect. I don't know what's causing it! It just says "wireless connection unavailable," but as soon as I hit reconnect, I get a good signal strength and I'm all set to go. Any help would be most appreciated.

System:
Windows XP
PIII 1.2 Ghz
128 MB RAM (yea...I know)

Re: Need some tech support with my wireless connection
Make sure your wireless router's SSID is unique and not easily guessable, disable SSID broadcast and type the SSID manually into your WLAN connection settings. More detailed instructions are in the router's manual.

Re: Need some tech support with my wireless connection
I had a similar problem, where my laptop'c connection worked fine, but as soon as my desktop's wired cnnection was connected to my wireless router, too, the wifi connection died.
Check your computer for viruses and spyware that might be flooding the network with packets... I did a complete scan of my esktop, found something trying to access some german website, banned the site, got rid of the programs it infected (it wasnt even a virus program, but it seemed to have been corrupted by it) and now the connections are working fine...

May or may not be the same as your problem. but I figured Id post it. Mine was a netgear router.
