I am enjoying it, but i detect the faint odor of Photoshop possibly...........

nope.. it's legit.. well as legit as crop circles get (IE people went out and made it)

Like I said, OSU is a boring place to go.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Crap. If the aliens are moving away from MS software, that's one less weapon in our arsenal when they come to invade us :nervous:

So the Independence Day aliens were using MS? :p
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

How else do you think they were able to upload a virus so easily? The aliens were running windows, and using a non password-protected wireless LAN no less, making it even easier. They really were asking for it if you ask me :D

  • Groooove Evening, viewers!
The Firefox team here at OSU is pretty known for stuff like this. When they had 50 million downloads of their browser, they drew in chalk a giant version of the Firefox logo in the Memorial Union Quad here at OSU. Then, at 100 million downloads, they launched (with the help of Oregon Space Grant, my employer) a high-altitude weather balloon with a giant Firefox poster and camera attached. I helped design and launch that payload. We never recovered it, however. I imagine it was torn apart by the jet stream. The crop circle is the latest Firefox stunt I've seen/heard of.

You can see their weather balloon stunt here:

  • I will never leave.
I dont know what's more offensive.  Nerds making cropcircles, or nerds making cropcircles about firefox.  If they wanted to do it right, it should have been opera, not some piece of overhyped ****.
Bunny stole my signature :(.

Sorry boobies.

I'm not sure you understand though. These aren't just random nerds who use Firefox. Oregon State is home to the open source lab that writes it. It wouldn't make sense if they made an Opera crop circle when they're writing/supporting/etc-ing Firefox and the lab that works on it.
