Hello All,
Good to see the site back again, I missed it for a while,

I am trying to rebuild a working copy of FS1 that I inherited on an old Damaged editon, I have most of the files I think but as I am not knowledgable about what is supposed to be there, and I dont want to try running it until I am sure enough is there to avoid damage this is what is present in the install

the orignal contents of the CD were 90.6 MB

Files are:

( I created this file and put in the cutscenes, but am not sure if they will run from here)

I think I am missing the music, but am not at all sure, any help much appreciated, where I can
get missing files or if indeed any are missing. thanks veyr muchj

I did manage to get a original copy of FS2, and am hoping to play through the original versions and then
move on to the great project here. it has taken some years to get this going as I had bone cancer and
three operations, but I am still kicking, sort of, and hope to be part of things here, i am slowly working up to
it so any help is much appreciated.

PS  I found the Freespace port site hosted here and found

the WARBLE file with the music, do I create a folder called MUSIC?

Also the STU fsl, do they go in the VOICE Folder, i am guessing, and is there a file list to say what goes where?

Also the TANGO fsl, i am downloading them all now, do they go into a special folder too?

Do the video files need to be reformatted to play, I have seen that the orignal files are avi. and these seem to
be ordinalry Windows media format?

I did wonder where you'd got to after all the initial excitement a while back Hope you're feeling better now.

Personally I'd reccomend getting ShivanSPS's pack (From the downloading FS2 links thread) and playing through both FS1Port and FS2 with SCP enhancements instead of trying to fix whatever is going on there.

i do hope to get this old copy working just for my files, and colleciton i looked for a long time for an original
and got this one, which seems to be scratched or damaged so that some of the files are missing.....

thanks i will go get the enchanced versions and work on that today, i have been looking forward to this for
a long time. 
yes I am doing better, i had to go through a long time in hospital and recovery,
my collecting has now assembled all the wing commander series, plus homeworld and homeworld cat.
Freelancer, Starlancer, but I have wanted to try the FS most of all.
