I gots me a question. A question about POWER!
Right. What, if anyone knows, is that max hardware a 400W power supply can run. I know I'd need to get the exact model specs to know for sure but just as an approx first. What I've got running on it is:

An AMD 64 3700 and its Mobo with 4 sticks ddr
NVidia Geforce6800GS
Sound blaster audigy (or sumink)
usb extension card
2x SATA hard drives, one 250GB the other 160GB
2x IDE hard drives, one 200 the other 150
A Nec DVD/CD RW.

I think that about covers it. If needed or anyone wants me to Ill post the exacts later. But I've noticed a few crashes recently, seem to be mostly graphics based so I was thinking that it could be the Geforce reaching for extra power that aint there when its trying to ramp it up.
Watch out for the Guns! They'll getcha!

What actual model is it? The wattage ratings don't mean anything by themselves. The components actually won't need much more than 150W on full load, maybe 170W at the most, but there are a lot of generic "400W" PSUs that can't supply that.

yes keep in mind thats the peak number, no psu can run at its stated output for long periods of time without burning out. be sure to look at the label and check the normal operating wattage.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill
