How do you get rid of the black boxs around some of the effects for TBP? i know there is a patch for regular FS2 for this problem, but what about TBP?

There is no patch. There will be no patch.

I hear it is going to be fixed in version 3.4 that is comming out soon. We just have to wait till then.
