Hmm, what do you mean? Too linear (Which might be a consequence of the above) or in terms of the shots chosen, or the edits were too flat, or how the video matched up with the music...?
What I meant was that, as Corsair said, it was effectively the movie inside 3 minutes. I get that you were trying to convey the core ideas of the movie to ignorant audience, but I feel that you could have been a little more adventurous in doing so. You could have mixed it up a bit more, picking out important and visually appealing scenes rather than trying to fit the entire movie chronologically into the time limit. While I liked how you synced up the music pretty damn well given your self-imposed constraints, had you gone a little more outside the box you could have really matched them up in a funky way. Plus you wouldn't have run out of time and been able to include the Mal-Operative duel, the Crew's last stand against the Reavers, and the other closing (and best, IMO) scenes of the movie.
It's good, and gets double points from me because I adore anything even
remotely related to the Sereniverse, but I honestly think you could have been a lot more creative rather than just presenting a summary of the movie set loosely to unrelated (but still nice) music.
