I've got a general idea of what you are saying concerning methodology
that's involved... but I'm simply not going to get it without trying it or having
a tutorial handy - and I'm too new to 3DSMax to know where each and every thing is
by this point. So yes I'll stick with the current simple texturing method.
Other than organization, it doesn't appear to have many benefits for fighter craft.
We will probably have to look into that for cap ships as you mentioned though.
I've got about 20 ships left to texture before all of Tach's small ship classes are finished.
Then we'll have to regroup and figure out what to do with bases/caps, as they are in large
chunks - instead of single models. Some where in there will be weapons...
