Darkness Rising, my new major project that I've spoken to a few of you about, has it's website now online. The website currently holds some basic information and some screenshots from the campaign as it's still being worked on.

I do not know much about building websites, that is why I am using a free host, so please dont make comments about how crap the website is lol.

Anyway:

Darkness Rising

This is a campaign placing you as a Shivan pilot and will take you through a story of their history, backgrounds, racial attributes and reasons behind their actions. It will also explore their reason for being in this Galaxy and why they are so attracted to subspace.

Please note - The campaign is currently only at 10%, only three missions have been fulled FREDed and a bunch of tables edited so dont expect a release anytime soon. Also, if you dont want to have your views changed about the Shivans, then please dont go posting how lame an idea this is. Just walk away and ignore it. I am making this because I want to and because I enjoy writing interesting stories and figured the Shivans would be a good way to go.

Looking good.  It'll be interesting to finally get the chance to fly some of those babies.

(One tiny word of advice about the website: consider toning down the text color.  With that background, plain white would definitely be the most readable option IMO.)

By the way, it should be "The Truth is more THAN you can handle" =)  Minor grammatical/spelling errors like that take away from the overall feel =)

Currently for both, though it may become SCP only...depends if I want to keep with the "story" missions who change that and make them into cutscene missions instead

If you go to SCP only use the custom wing names feature and get away from having the Shivans using the same wing name system as the Terrans. It was bad enough the Vasudans using it in FS2 without having the Shivans do it

I say we move this to SCP so it can use some custom wingnames and other cool stuff! But Charismatic prolly wont like that.

Also, are you planning to change the names from Shivan Mega Laser to something more believable? And some Shivan Missiles? Any new ships?

I am very tempted to move it to the SCP, but right now am keeping it so everyone can use it (Both retail users and SCP). But with the way things are going it will likely change to SCP.

Yes there will be some new ships, new weapons and the weapons will be renamed of course - so far the only table editing I've done is actually allowing the player to fly/use those weapons without causing problems lol.

As xmas is coming up progress will be a little slow, but I'll have some new screenshots up shortly (Sometime this week) on the website
