FS2 Freezing! NO!

The day has come... my FS2 has started freezing! I thought it was a problem using a particular model, but it wasn't. Now it's freezing in-mission at different times, it makes no sense. It never did this before.

I suspect it might either by DirectX 8.0a or the 23.11 driver from NVidia for my TNT2 AGP card.

Anyone have any suggestions? I really don't want to re-format.

Well... DX 8.1 is out I believe...

Make sure your drivers aren't tested and beta... and try and download the latest ones(if you haven't already)

Does it freeze in any other games?

Also... this could be caused by overclocking the Processor or Video Card... try unclocking them a little and see if it helps.

It sounds like a heat-related issue to me too. Do you remember doing anything recently (upgrades, setting changes, etc.) that might be related to this?

No recent upgrades, and I'm running Windows98. I reinstalled by original Diamond drivers, and I ran through a whole FS2 mission yesterday without any problems. Hmm.
