Well, today I bought myself a new computer (or at least the parts to fit it together).
I have, however, run into a problem.
When I power up, the moniter will not activate itself, and I get no picture.
I have a Radeon VE 64mb graphics card in the AGP slot (but I have tried it with my old Voodoo 3 as well), and everything is plugged in as it should be.
I have put this problem down to one of two things: First, the AGP slot on the mother board (a ABIT KR7A-RAID) is messed up. This would mean I would have to try to get a replacement board.
Second: A friend of a friend commented that he had the same problem, and when he switched over power supplies, it worked fine. So I'm thinking that maybe even with 300W of power, it isn't enough...
Anyways, any idea would be welcome as I am damned close to commiting genocide on any goddamned computer salesmen that come near me.
