I don't know if the head should glow green when it makes the getter beam, I guess not, but the Shin Getter glows when it makes it's final attack and it has make wonder if it should or not...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Getter (1974/1975): it also has a Great Mazinger movie: "Great Mazinger vs Getta Robo")
******
Getter G (1975/1976): it also has a Great Mazinger movie: "Great Mazinger vs Getta Robo G", though other Go Nagai robots appear.
******
Getter Robo Go (1991)[TV Series]: it never has good impact, mostly because the drawing style was quite different, and the Go hardly seems like a Getter...besides the name and the transformations.
******
Getta Robo Sekai Saigo no Hi (1998)[OVA]: Shin Getter Robot Armageddon (or the "Last Day"), I think here is where the Getter Emperor is shown as a memory or as drawn in a rock, a very old Getter that resembles the Shin Getter.
I have see that the Getter Dragon sometimes has it circular saws, and sometimes has the ones like the Shin Getter, I guess it can fold out them as it needs, that should be something extra to model.
******
Getter Robo Daikessen! (1999/PS1): the PlayStation where the Shin Black Getter, and the Shin Dragon are featured. (I am not sure about the Shin Black Getter, but I heard so...)
The Getter 1 (3D model):

http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/Shadow0000/Getter_Dragon_Daikessen.pngThis is considered a 3rd variation, notice how it both combines the '76 and '98 one, I guess I aimed the Getter Dragon to something like this, but with a body like the Neo Getter.
The Shin Dragon:
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/Shadow0000/Shin_Dragon_02.pngI have no info about this, just that it's seems to be the final Getter. I guess my only choice is to play the game, getting 3D references of every Getter, ship, and other, would be really useful, but playing and modeling is 2x time consuming, so...

Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo (2000/2001)[OVA]: The Neo Getter is residesing of the Getter Robo Go, and it was the redemption to it, in fact If I would see the Go I would have a hard time telling it's a Getter. The Neo Getter uses Plasma as it energy source, meaning that it's not unstable as the Getter Ray based models, but it has a limited amount of energy. It also has the colour scheme changed to resemble more a mazinger, and it's head it's more like G. The Neo Getter has also a Silver version, I guess it somekind of temporary powerup.
The Getter Go:

Shin Getter Robo (New Getter Robo)(2004)(OVA): here is where the remake of the Getter 1/2/3 is featured, it resembles a lot the Shin Getter, but it look less powerful (to some point).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The "God" Getter, it's actually a nickname made by fans, it appears at the 4th and last episode of Neo Getter Robot vs Shin Getter Robot, it's a metamorphose of the Shin Getter 1, the desing somewhat resembles a beetle, specially the feet, it has a paint scheme like a Mazinger, even when it spreads it's wings you can notice they are Mazinger's wings. It only has 1 official and exclusive attack, I bet the Shin Dragon is even more powerful, as both of them don't have any 2nd or 3rd form.
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/Shadow0000/God_Getter_1.pnghttp://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/Shadow0000/God_Getter_2.pngOne of the interesting things about the God Getter, is that when the Shin Getter does it metamorphose, not only it grows, but the floor below him breaks. A basic law of the Getter Rays, is that they can morph mass, but they can neither create or destroy any, as seen always the weight should be the same, regardless of the size of the robot.
