Re: Two New Star Wars movies...
Anyone remember that Ewoks film, where a family crashes on the Forest moon and only the kid survives after imps smite his family.
That was pretty cool.......And the old droids series was awesome.

Re: Two New Star Wars movies...
My take on the entire film series of Star Wars...

First Trilogy: 9/10
Ep4-Good film, excellent introduction, a bit corny at spots but whatever... 9/10
Ep5-Interesting and good, quite the plot twist that a main character was frozen... 8/10
Ep6-Excellent movie, great ending to a trilogy, 10/10

Second Trilogy: 6/10
Ep1-Eh the movie was good, not nearly as good as any of the original 3, 7/10
Ep2-I didn't like this one much, the best part was Yoda's lightsaber battle against Dooku, 6/10 (3/10 from the battle)
Ep3-I hated this one compared to the rest, it was just plain stupid compared to the others, 5/10

The first Trilogy was excellent, the second Trilogy was not so good.

GTSVA: With who...?
Nuke: chewbacca?
Bob-san: The Rancor.

Re: Two New Star Wars movies...
I would agree with that cept i would switch the score for Empire with ROTJ (lose points for Ewoks  plus for me Empire was the best).  The thing that really urked me about the new movies was they felt i dunno shallow, and kiddie.  Plus they introduced villians and killed them 5 minutes later

You know, I would've liked ROTJ if it werent for the Ewoks, that's my only problem with the movie.

Re: Two New Star Wars movies...
Quite. Abominable movie, to be sure.

Rather nice CGI work, though. The Ent-E/Scimitar skirmish - while riddled with plot, logic and canon holes - beat the crap out of every Dominion War battle we'd seen to date.

I didn't mind it. I'm loosely curious what the plot/logic/cannon holes were though.
The plot holes were so bad, you could drive a Iowa class Battleship through them.  Although the Dominion war battles sucked, Mefustae.  Remember, turn off your shields if your name isent Defiant...

First and foremost, they had apparently cut out a lot of character stuff throughout the movie to facilitate more visual masturbation battle-scenes, which is in itself an insult to viewers. But regarding the battle itself, off the top of my head: The Sovereign-class Ent-E was the most advanced ship the Federation was able to field, as explicitly stated in First Contact, and yet a bunch of second-class Romulan slaves were able to build a far more powerful ship without anyone finding out. The idea of a ship being able to fire while cloaked was a rehash of Star Trek VI. It's a hard pill to swallow that they'd just sorta wander into an area where they'd be completely cutoff from all communications and reinforcements without anyone noticing. The fact that they ran out of photon and quantum torpedoes after 20 minutes of battle was somewhat silly given the size of the Ent. Those Romulan ships that came to aid the Ent-E were effectively redshirts, dead within seconds despite the Ent holding out for several minutes. The fight scene between Riker and that Reman bloke was laughably asinine for obvious reasons. And finally, of course, the end of the battle was a complete ripoff of Wrath of Khan.

Just an overview, but you get the point. Let's not even get started on the rest of that trainwreck.

Re: Two New Star Wars movies...
If they are gonna make more Star Wars films, please let them make it on something besides the Jedi crap, like Wraith Squadron.

Let's not forget this gem: http://www.stardestroyer.net/Nemesis/Pictorial-1.html

Granted, it's stardestroyer.net which will do anything to prove Star Wars is better than Star Trek even to the point of fanboi-ism, but the points made in the picto-plot-synopsis are pretty spot on.
