Filmed in conjunction with "Razor," the two- to three-minute installments will air weekly in primetime on SCI FI Channel, and then be available online at SCIFI.com. The promotional shorts will premiere in October.
Even though I've taken and am in the process of taking some film classes, so I have a sketchy idea of how much work it takes to get even 2-3 minutes of something with the quality of BSG done...I still don't feel very positive about them.
You can't fit a coherent plot in 2 minutes and still have the same kind of depth as any of the BSG episodes. Well, maybe you could, but it'd be a stroke of extreme genius that I doubt would be found on BSG given its circumstances (no offense intended)
I never really got into the web series. It just seemed to suffer from trying to be something it wasn't, and being too simple to be a full episode, but too cut and dried to be as interesting as something artsy.
I'd rather see the resources expended towards something really good, rather than what seems like just a cheap (relatively speaking) way to draw viewers over a prolonged period of time.
