CMD Line Mission Loader? Need for space sim room
I wanted to open my first post by thanking all of the posters here for all the useful info that I have already benefited from. 

I have built a simulated spaceship as a bedroom for my son.   It has the works... Full voice command (via HomeSeer) includes a Transporter (rotating darkroom door), food replicator (Pringles vending machine heavily modified to accept commands through the voice system) fiber optic stars, alert status lighting...  Yes.  I'm a dork.

I've built some custom missions in fredOPEN and I want to use them as part of the overall simulation. 

I need to be able to load single player missions from a command line.   

I need to select PILOT, MISSION, and SHIP loaded, skipping all other screens and menus.

Briefings and debriefings should be able to be handled on a mission by mission basis... so that should work fine...

I can even modify the splash screen if need be.  Something like "Manual Flight Controls Activated"

Ideally I just need to be able to load a single mission,  and get dumped directly to spaceflight.   Everything else is working flawlessly.

Any suggestions?  (Besides -almission which seems to be only for multiplayer?)

Can you post a video on youtube of the system now, so we know you're not just pulling our leg? :)

Hmmmm. An autoload mission feature would probably be much appreciated by just about every FREDder in the community. Especially if the Run Freespace option FRED had could also be used to save and run the last created mission.

Not sure how hard it would be to add though.

be good for script debugging as well. i cant tell you how much time i wsted fumbeling around the interface to test something almost insignificant.

Yeah...  I think there are plenty of folks that could do without the flight deck interface.

A simple menu that could be bypassed my command line switches...

The problem is that I think you would need to add some hooks to the core game to prevent it trying to dump you back onto the flight deck after the mission.

Failing that, a less usefull secondary mission testing build (which would be a pain in the ass as far as updating and changes to the source goes).   
For my purposes I'm happy with the current build...  so a brutal and permanent hack is just fine with me.

I don't even care what else breaks if I can load a mission, pilot, ship and jump straight to flight.  Ideally jumping out should close the whole program.

I'll be happy to pretend to come and pick you up in my new space simulator room if someone solves this one...

p.s.  Goober:  Why the hell would someone make up something as stupid as a non-existant spaceship bedroom to "impress" people he's never met on a forum he just joined? 
Oh wait... it's the internet... duh.  OK...  I'd better get some filming done.  =)
I've resisted filming...  as it is only partially complete and it sorta spoils the illusion of space when you can see trees  and sunshine out the window at the moment.
 Note to self... finish blast shutters.

I think I may have found a semi crappy solution... having a v8 moment...

I'll just convert some of the mini-missions I built to multi-player...  then -almission sorta works...  still get the splash screen and an ugly quick flash of the flight deck though.

Plus if you jump out you get dumped the the flight deck... so... not quite ideal.

If that damn auto load mission feature skipped the flight deck and closed the game at the completion of the debriefing... I'd be done already.
