I'm compiling a guide to everything FreeSpace. So far it is only a title and table of contents, and the first edition will only include a Turey's installer how-to and a few tidbits. The thing that I'm looking for is a few important dates (the original date of the SC release from Volition, the first SCP release, names of members, and other important stuff. Anyone willing to help out?

Indeed, I never thought I'd say this, but I agree with Kazan. And you have a large task if you want to chart the SCP's history cole...aren't you a little new for that?

EDIT: It irritates me when I see people trying to control others' user preferences... there is an option to disable signatures in your profile.  The maximum allowable characters for a siggy is 2000, not 200, contrary to popular wishing in certain circles.  So, you irritated me first.  If you find a siggy particularly annoying, maybe you could make a suggestion, and something *might* happen... (note that there are no longer [hr] lines in my siggy).

It wasn't all that hard to find. Then again, I happened to remember a couple of expressions used in it, so a search with "SCP middle ages" popped it up front. It would be more difficult if you didn't remember some semi-unique phrase from the text, though.

It irritates me when someone feels I should disable signatures totally because of one person's stupidly enormous one while I still might want to see the signatures of others.


On-Topic:  This could be interesting, but I doubt people beyond the devoted few would get into it.

I suggest you shorten your sig since it's length is pissing people off. You don't have to use all 2000 characters. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should, like driving 40mph on the highway for example.
