Hurricane Dean made landfall in the Yucatan peninsula early Sunday morning with winds over 165mph and a central pressure of 906mb. Dean is one of the most powerful landfalling hurricanes in Atlantic basin history, it is also the first Category 5 to make landfall since Hurricane Andrew hit Florida in 1992. Surprisingly, there has been no reported deaths out of Mexico.
