TrashMan's Archangel MkII and Weapons Pack Mods
Ok so how do I install them? I'm running FS2_Open, which I installed using Turey's installer. After I install the mod, how do I get the FRED to recognize the ship and be able to place it in a mission. And after THAT, where do I save the mission to be able to play it ingame?

Basically, I want to play a custom mission with his Archangel MkII in it.

And yes, I looked for any readmes and checked the wiki here, and even went to the Oracle site to try to find what it had to say about FS2_Open modding... it didn't help me much so far, but I am still trying.

Also, can anyone point me to a list of TrashMan's mods? I want a collection of his wonderful ships. ^.^

Most of my stuff is on Hades-combine.

As for the Archangel. I reccomed you make a mod folder (in your root freespace folder) and make a data folder insude that and put all the files inside, mirroring the FS2 data structure...thus maps in the nmaps folder, models in the models folder, etc..
In the table folder you either place a archangel-shp.tmb file (basicly a re-named txt file with the tbl entry for hte archangel, only wiht a #Ship Classes on top and #End on the botom) or copy the ships.tbl and paste teh archangel entry.
you cna use hte similar approach for weapons (either copy hte weapons.tbl or make a few -weap.tbm files)

Once you're done with that make a mod.ini file (you can see in hte wiki how) with the mod as primary and madiavps as secondary and it should how up in game.

To use it in FRED you'd jsut have to add -mod nameofmod to it's properties, target line

Sorry it took me so long to respond. Can you tell me what filetypes go into what folders? Or better yet, point me in the direction of a full guide to installing mods?

Strange error....prolly some teable mixup somewhere..

I hate that model file <none> error, I really do.

Heave you checked the Wiki? I'tsa good source for everything.

Yeah, I've checked it. Greek to me......

Sometime tomorrow In will try to reinstall it when  I get the time. As you can imagine from the length of time between posts, I dont get a lot of free time.

whenever I got that error there was only two ways I managed to fix it - different FSO vrsion or some minor table adjustments.

Ugh. :/

I'll stick with premade mods, I guess.....
