I'm playing Into the Depths of Hell chapter 2.  It has me run it as a mod, but then all the snappy graphics go away, as I cant run mediavps as a mod with it.  Any Ideas?

Also, is there any way to read the fictions that go along with the campaigns other than using noepad? (which does the best at making them readable, although there are still large sections of gibberish).

Wrong, you are.

You can use a mod.ini file to run multiple mods at once.

The mod.ini file should be put in the mod's folder (/Freespace2/ITDOH2) and should look like this:

The Secondary list is the important part... just enter the name of your media VP folder where "mediavps" is. Should load both media VPs and ITDOH.

By the way, the mod.ini file works with all mods. You can pretty much just copy-and-paste it into all mod directories to play them with FSO graphics.


As for the fictions, someone uploaded them in MS Word format. They are attached.
