Individual extraction from media vps

Soo. . . What if I love the new explosions to death but loathe the new engine glows with a burning passion? Can I get into the contents of these vps and pluck things out?

Note: I'm on a Mac.

You can get into VPs with Maja, but the best way to get rid of something you don't like is to put something you do like on top of it.  If you find engine glows you like, put them in Freespace/Data/Effects, and they will replace the MediaVPs ones

Wait, you can do this!? woot! so since this thread is here, how about finding that lightish blue explosion from 3.6.7. (i think it was that one) to replace the big blue one in use curently? where can i find 3.6.7. mediavps?
