Hey, I recently took up cracking up maple story with this nifty little program called Cheat Engine. However i got to learn a hell of a lot to use it decently. First off, i gotta learn Auto Assembly, this thing which is a sort of neutered version of Assembly Language which is used by cheat engine to modify the kernel memory of game processes to hack the game. Apparently this works well with Maple story, other then the fact that you gotta hack the cheat engine itself (also using auto assembly) to make it undetected against game guard. Why I'm posting this is, I  need a certain game or program for me to test any skills i learn in auto assembly so that they work and i can learn more about hacking games. Anybody know if this would somehow not work with freespace?

P.S. I'm also looking for better ways to learn Auto Assembly or Assembly Language itself, which i've heard rumours that it's taken as a unniversity course...but i know there has to be some kind of book or online article to help me on this. Since "Begginning programming for dummies" only teaches liberty BASIC, C++, Revolution and realBASIC, i don't know where to go.

P.P.S. I know this is totally out of my league, but i'm willing to put tons of effort into this, even knowing that i might not be hacking maple story in a year or 2.

I won't get keylogged if cheat engine is modified to be undetected by gameguard, which is maple story's only defence against cheating. Cheat Engine is a program used to hack into kernel memory of games, like i said.

What jr2 said. And even originally Snail said that you probably got keylogged if you downloaded Cheat Engine that way, not that you probably will get keylogged in the future.

For a second, let's say that Cheat engine isn't a keylogger. What do you hope do accomplish? FS has a perfectly fine selection of cheats.

IDK if it is a keylogger, but it might come with a keylogger.  Pirated stuff sometimes does.

No... Where's you get the program from?  Virus makers take good software, legal or not, put viruses in it, and try to get you to download it from their site... you get the software.. but you get more than you wanted.

If you want to see how well you could do without cheats, then you don't cheat, not make your own cheats.

Look, this really isn't my problem why i should do it. that should be directed to my friend, because they are the one that wants me to do it. I just want to learn this so that they will be happy and stop annoying the hell out of me for it...

This thread seems kinda pointless, so i wouldn't be suprised if it's deleted or locked.

Well there's no real infractions, and you did ask a question that seems to have yet to be answered. If you do want it locked PM me, but I haven't seen a real reason for it yet.
