I've just downloaded the Truespace 4.2 trial for the purpose of making renders for use in interface art creation, and I've run into a bit of a snag.  After reverting a POF back to COB with POF Constructor Suite and saving all the texture PCX files as BMPs, when I try to load the object TrueSpace crashes.  Does Truespace not like reverted POF files?

Anyway, might anyone have some helpful sugestions for me, or perhaps a recommendation for another (free) program to use for rendering?

Have you ever tried Blender. Great for the model making and rendering(some).
I have big plans, now if only I could see them through.

I have done this many times. I do however use MAX for this. You are forgetting that the trial Version will write calagari all over your renderings, and you cannot save in TS4 Trial.

Maybe I can help you making those interfaces, as I can just convert the COBS to 3ds and import into max.

Let me know. [email protected]

Thanks guys.  I didn't realise truespace would vandalise the model like that, as I never got that far before the blasted thing would crash.  As for it not saving the render, the Print Screen button works wonders. :D

No problem, but if you really need a Render, try Truespace2, it is free somewhere. Note: legally free,  again let me know if you need it.
