cbanims creation techniques
I heard that some people on forums know how to create cbanims.
I've got some free tools (GIMP, Paint.NET) and I'd like to learn how to do cbanims.
Can anyone explain it?

Creating static anis isn't difficult...are you refering to anis composed by multiple images?

Save the frames as "blah0001.pcx" "blah0002.pcx" and so on. Grab ANIBUILDER32 and it's rather self-explanatory from then on.

Save the frames as "blah0001.pcx" "blah0002.pcx" and so on. Grab ANIBUILDER32 and it's rather self-explanatory from then on.

I know that.
I mean creating anis frames - like ships flyby anis :)

Make them. Draw them. Render them. Even use FreeSpace and excessive use of the PrintScreen button. Or even Fred ('s what I used once + a lot of dicking around in photoshop). :p

He knows how to make them, he wants to know how to make the frames themselves.

Use for example Bink to convert the AVI into a series of 16-bit (or less) PCX files, as AniBuilder will not accept non-PCX images, or images of more than 16 bit color depth.
Use AniBuilder to convert the PCX files to an ANI.
