I made this in an hour or so, throwing random things together to see what it would look like. I meant it as a fan-made trailer for the freespace games, so if you have a few spare minutes I would be really grateful for any feedback.

No one lives in the slums because they want to. It's like this train. It can't go anywhere except where its rails take it.

Hm...
The Good:
- Pretty background

The Bad:
- Not much else

Recommendations:
I would say that it needs some action. Some comm chatter to listen to and some empty space background isn't very interesting, especially if this is meant as a trailer for people who haven't heard of the terms before, its kinda pointless (ie. "WTF is a Lucifer?").
The video started out excellent, building the atmosphere, but then, it just never takes it anywhere. I was expecting a cut to the action the whole time...but no such thing happened. Instead, I got more and more chatter, *yawn*. The best way to improve, is to cut the empty space/chatter in half, make it more and more messy chatter (lots of voices on top of each other), then pan the camera around to a massive battle (preferably hi-def using HTL models/textures, with pretty beams, projectiles, flak etc flying everywhere). Though, that is noticable harder to do...but it would make the trailer epic.

Duly noted. How about stealing the Battle of Deneb from the Freespace 2 opening movie?
