Lack of interest was a primary reason for the cancellation of the campaign itself. But it wasn't the only reason... a new job with a weird schedule stopped me from spending as much time on it as I would have liked.
I honestly would love to begin work on a campaign again, but the storyline I picked for Omicron wasn't as catchy as I hoped it would be. I was actually considering taking requests for a storyline... I know a lot of people here have great imaginations but don't use FRED all that much.
The Sector 114 site is still technically online, it's just currently inaccessible. With the opening of freespacemods.net, dedicating an entire site to one campaign seemed like overkill. Plus, there wasn't much activity on the site itself... and I don't blame anyone there, this community here is so alive and well that there's no need for a second site.
If anyone has a request for a campaign they've been wanting to see, I'd sure consider it... as they say, two heads are better than one, so a collaboration on a unique storyline wouldn't be out of the question. The only drawback to creating a campaign myself is that I have no experience in modelling, other than changing textures - so I wouldn't be able to add any new ships or stations without help from the more experienced modellers. I do have a lot of ships that were featured on Hades Combine, though, so there is variety.
Anyways, I've rambled on long enough... I didn't figure anyone was even talking about my old campaign nowadays, so this thread came as quite a surprise lol.
