I made a pilot and squad logo, with the correct dimensions/in PCX format.

I put them in \data\players\images and \squads but they don't show up. Attached are the files.

You need to decrease the colour depth to 8 bits/256 colours.

When you do, remember that the transparent part must be 0,255,0. A lot of programs, when paletting, like to dither and blend, so you'll end up with a horrible fuzzy green outline around your logo.

Your best option is to set the background to be black, and put a few green squares in a corner so they get recognized on the palette. Then do a fill of the background with pure green and no antialiasing.

Finally, if you want to be able to choose them as wing squad logos in FRED, you need to have copies in the Maps folder. Someone should mantis that.

No, I only joined HLP a year ago, and I've only played multi for about 8 months. I found FS1/FS2 in about '02.
