What to do with lightspeed's neb pack

i can't find any files anywhere in my main freespace that look like the ones from the pack and most of the user campaigns are pretty lame without them. also the damn thing has no instructions.

did that. but none of the file are *.vps so i don't understand why it should read them while they are there

\mediavps\data\effects if they are all DDS or TGA files that were just zipped and not in a VP.

Then download the other LS neb pack from FreeSpaceMods. It has vps so it is quite easy to use.

Any .POF files go into /mediavps/models
Any .TGA, .DDS, .PCX, .ANI files go into /mediavps/maps
any .TBM, .TBL files go into /mediavps/tables. You should not use .TBL files, as they will not generally include table entries for other custom ships you may have added. Simply open the table in Notepad, copy the info for the ship you want into another blank Notepad, and save it as "<ship name>-shp.tbm". Then put it in /mediavps/tables.

Depending on what they are for. Yes, they will be found and used (or should be) but the only things that should go into Maps are image files that texture models.

Image file that provide effects should go in the, obviously, Efffects folder.

Backgrounds are effects.

IIRC its just a bunch of TGA and PCX files.  Put them in freespace/mediavps/data/effects/
If it is a VP, just put it in freespace/mediavps/
