look at it this way
if the death was a hoax and you don't question it then youre a victim of a cheap prank and maybe a few insulted people
if the death was a hoax and you question it quietly then theres no problem
if the death was a hoax and you question it in full public view then theirs no problem
if the death was real and you question it then theirs no problem
if the death was real and you question it quietly then theirs no problem
if the death was real and you question it in full public view, then you are being disrespectful
my conclusion is that its better to question a death on the internet quietly, its better than making a huge conspiracy theory out of it and its better than not questioning it at all. using private messages and maybe another thread all together, or on the site feedback board where its out of the way of most of the noobs and trolls would have been the best way to handle it. of course since its the internet you will have those people and normal moderation should be sufficient to avoid any disrespect.
