A problem and a question
My problem is, I have a ship visit a nav point and I want a wing of bad guys to show up, so i have in the wing editor:

Warp in selected.
No warp affect checked
and in the event block I have-

- nav_is _visited

This slick little configuration locks up freespace and boots me out to the desk top when I get within 1000 of the Nav point.

And my question is, is there a way to jump from one part of the map to another, or any other way to quickly move from on area of the map to the other without manually increasing the time compression and flying there yourself.

As is very clear by these questions I am a noob...

Not sure what's causing the first problem.  What build are you running?

As for the second try the set-object-position sexp but I don't know if it works for player ships.

Try this 3.6.10 debug build and then post the fs2_open.log you'll find in your data folder.

Re: A problem and a question
Whoa, thanks alot for the build!  I never ran debug builds (what a dummy!).  The models I made had a bunch of incomplete parts and problems that I fixed thanks to the debug build and now the FRED mission runs fine.

I have said it before and a I will say it again - this is the one of the best forums I have run across for helpful noncondescending help I have ever seen.  The freespace community really is great! :D
