Frankly I have no idea how that's a fighter, let alone a fighter from the FreeSpace universe. However, unlike many of the new models you see around here, it is at least fairly creative and new and in no way resembles a jet fighter like 80% of other people's new models.
Personally I'd either bump up the size and make it into a big ship or just make the angles less harsh and make it a bomber. Now that I think about it it sort of bears a resemblance to a Nephilim.
I guess my overall suggestion is that it's got too many weird things going off in too many weird direction. The Nephilim can be very asymmetrical and still work because because its weirdness doesn't extend to it's front and backwards. The eye focusses on it like it would a bat and ignores the asymmetry because it's not that remarkable. Same with any other asymmetrical ship. If it's going to be asymmetrical, and least give the eye something to focus on. I'd start by shortening that rear extension.
