need help with texturing and conversion work from lightwave into freespace its a simple model - a sentry gun - wan it to have shields though  so i added a mesh for them if someone knwos what to do with ti all the subobjects are in different layers

if someone can help me with this it would be appriated - as i'm doing a mini campaign will be no more than 5 missions cause i'm not great at mission design if someone wants to take it on and finshed it after that they can

it will include

2 new player weapons

2 new capital ship weapons

a sheilded sentry gun

a base

and a new fighter

but only if i can get people to help with texturing  etc

the plot remains a secret for now

its based on my model contest entry but i prefer it to the high poly one  and its only 334 poly

and the sentry gun pretty bog standard really goign to have a fast firing and powerful pulse weapon and a sheild system so its going to be pretty leathal as its needed to be for reason you aren't to know about yet

Nice fighter, looks something like the Perseus though...Nice REGULAR sentry gun too...

Can't help with MODs though, cuz I can't MOD :D

i hate TS i cant use it anymore got to acustomed to dealing with lightwave and its cizilised methods so if anyone can help it would be very veyr very kind of you

Youre gonna have to deal with TS, I think its the only one that'll work..
You can probably add all the LODs and whatnot in LW, but you'll have to add the lights to them and glue everything in TS...

He knows that, what he means is that he can't stand TS anymore and would like someone else to convert the cobs for him :)

As I said, I really like this fighter, the way the engines bend down and all, actually I think this one is brilliant and the high poly version can't even match it :)

To me, tho, the sentry just looks like a regular sentry as corsair said. a challenger of the alastor and the watchdogs, most likely.

its only men to be a marginly better sentry gun - better rate of fire nda  shield system i did contimplate redo a sentry gun i made against ago and that was mean as hell it had 8 gun points - 4 beams and 4 flail guns - the flail kept you out of effect range of it so you could destroy it and the beams finished you off pretty quick but it was an absolte nightmare to destroy it require at least 4 fighter all attacking it simulteously to even stand a chance of taking ti down this one i thought could just be abit more of a trheat thatn older sentry guns

argh i figured i could manange the nav point by myself but i checked ts 5 only understand up to lightwave 5.6 not lightwave 7
