If corners were important, then by yor definition Grid Iron would be more football tham Aussie Rules is, and I think we can both agree that that's a farce.

And footy is footy because in Australia, Australian Rules Football is Football. Everywhere else that wants to can call rugby, grid iron or soccer football, but in Australia there's only one real footy (Don't listen to the Banana benders or the cockroaches on that either).
