ok got the newly released vp's of goodness but i've lost my normal map ability. It's been a few days since I last ran FS but I know for a fact it was working becuz Herra was helping me create a normal map. I haven't changed any of my launcher settings

I noticed in the F3 area i don't even have the option to turn on/off normal maps anymore. I checked the VP and the shaders are in it so that aint the problem. I've cleared the cache, done everything short of rebooting... which i might do anyway but this is just damn weird

the normal maps aren't showing on any ship, not just the vp's.

Because you accidently switched back to a build (3.6.9?) that does not allow normal mapping, or the drivers of your video card have suddenly become screwed?

Í think it is a problem with your computer, as I'd geuss that the new MVP's have been properly tested.

nope im using the latest nightly release and i doubt the video card drivers are the problem. they're all up to date. I do a fairly good job on staying on top of that kinda stuffs. Like i said this is just damn weird. It was working a few days ago, i havent changed a thing cept replaced the beta vp's with the latest

well i donno what happened but they're working again. guess it was just a hiccup. Only thing i did was rebooted twice and it worked so i donno, weird

Try using the Mantis. They like to fix bugs there. Im not sure if they perfer you post there or not.

it might not have been a FS issue. it hasn't reappeared since... i think my pc was just trying to be mean to it since I haven't topped off its cooling water
