Drastic frame-drop when viewing ships from behind, engine glow issue?
As the topic suggests, when I approach ships (actually I've only checked with the instructor on the first training mission) from behind my frame rate drops drastically. It only happens when I get fairly close, could it have something to do with the engine glow (seems unlikely, how taxing could it be)? Is there any command to disable them or something so I can check?

If running with v-sync the frame rate drops from 60fps to 30fps, exactly.
If I disable it the frame rate drops from around 80-90 to 45-55 or so.

Running a fresh install with the 4989 build and 3.6.10 mvps, if that is of use.

I wonder if it could be something to do with engine wash..
