I'm looking for a software that will take a webcam feed from an in-screen camera (read: its actually a secret USB apparently) and be able to either make it accessible to a network as a service, or send it directly to an associated ip address or some sort of monitoring program. The situation is as follows:
I have 2 netbooks (
http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/p1__248007_Business_Supplies_10051_SEARCH (lol staples, but i work there so meh) that a friend and I have upgraded and installed additional memory) sporting built in webcams, and we're looking to use them as a 2 way video chat. We will be in a location without an accessible internet connection (school theater we work in, extremely limited network access, let alone ability to run skype/aim/etc), but in which we can install our own router (without an internet connection). This theater has a wired communication system for productions, but due to employment issues, it's just the 2 of us doing the job of normally 6-10. We need some sort of wireless video conferencing ability, and this was the best idea that came to mind.
Problem that lies, is most of what I've been able to find is for wireless ready webcams, webcams over internet and similar. We have no problem with using some sort of client/server thing, as long as it's two way, but the simplest solutions (instant messager with video) are out of the question due to lack of internet access. Any ideas?
