Boystrous 19 year old temp at work slapped me in the face with an envelope and laughed it off as playful. So I shoved him over a desk and laughed it off as playful. It's on camera so I can plead reasonable force.  Temp is now passive.

To me, the bottom line is this: If we move on now without fully documenting what occurred, without acknowledging the betrayal of our values, and without determining whether or not any laws have been broken, we cannot help but validate all that has gone on before. If we look at the Bush record and conclude that the book should simply be closed, we will be tacitly approving both the documented abuses and the additional misdeeds we will have chosen to leave uncovered.

That is why there is nothing partisan about the call for further review. In the end, these acts were not taken by George Bush, or by John Yoo, or even by Dick Cheney - they were taken by the United States of America. By all of us. There is no avoiding the responsibility we all bear for what has been done, and for what we choose to do next.

 :yes:

From an outside point of view, this makes perfect sense.

You'd think so, but then again 44% of the US still voted for McCain, whose platform was mostly "Bush Jr. 2.0".
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

It does make me laugh that the idea of having an investigation when the law might have been broken is seen as a bad thing. The British police on the other hand investigated Blair while he was still Prime Minister over other allegations. I'd have loved to have seen someone in America have had the balls for that. :D

let me quickly explain:
when someone does something which offends republicans, it's playing politics

politics are bad thing because they are not true and objective

this is especially true when people play politics in political arena

if a politican does something and is investigated it is playing politics because a politician is involved ergo it is a bad thing

which is bad, because politics are bad, and therefore I elect politicians to not play politics

lol wtf

You have it backwards, as republicans get into scandals for sucking dick and that's politically motivated.

Having your dick sucked, now that is morally wrong by every standard!

Janos, you're not thinking of the children here. Besides I suspect you have terrorist symphaties under all your agendas, so your opinions are null and void.
