A Campaign "Install" noob question
I apologize for the noobiness of this question, I just could not find the answer.  I searched wiki and forum both.  I looked for stickies, I read the discussion tabs of the wiki pages, etc...

How do you "install" a campaign so it shows up in the game?  I have freespace open up and running and added the mediavp mod (which was really cool).  I thought the campaign itself is a "mod" so I added it with the launcher, but it seems that only one mod can be installed at a given time in the launcher and it removed my mediavps mod (I think?)

Be gentle, but please link me to a sticky or something with campaign loading instructions or fill me in here.

Thanks so much.

Re: A Campaign "Install" noob question
When you open up the FSO Launcher (as a note, you should be updated to 5.5d version) you will notice the tabs, Welcome, Features Speech etc. Hit the MOD tab, and use the Select Mod option to target the folder where the campaign is located.

Most campaigns come with something called a "mod.ini" which technically directs mediavps to be used in the campaign amongst other things.
Good luck!  :)

Ah so the .ini is the missing link that retains the other "mods".  Thanks man!

Re: A Campaign "Install" noob question
You can technically also set up secondary mods yourself manually, by entering something like "-mod *yourmodhere*, mediavps" in the Custom Flags dialog in the Launcher, but most campaigns released in the past year or two already come with a properly-configured mod.ini file that will set up your mod dependencies for you.  Provided your campaign does have that file, just selecting its folder is definitely the way to go.
