How do I install new mods into FSOpen?

I'm assuming you have downloaded the mods already, yes? If so, extract the files from the .zip or whatever format they came in. Create a directory with the mod's name in the FreeSpace directory. Then copy all of the mod's files into that directory. Start the Launcher, and go to the "Mod"-Tab. Select the mod's directory.
That should be it, really.
