Invalid Ship Type for Player

I set the player craft to the GTF Perseus/Alpha 1. And it gives me that. :wtf: Please assist...over

EDIT: It appears to only happen when I set the player craft to the Perseus...I don't think that's normal behavior

Any mods and what version of FRED2_Open?
No-one ever listens to Zathras. Quite mad, they say. It is good that Zathras does not mind. He's even grown to like it. Oh yes. -Zathras

Running with the folder of the campaign I'm working on selected as the mod. However there are no modifications so to speak, just the mission files, mod .ini and some squad icons.

I just tried it with RC1 and it worked.  Just opened up FRED, change the ship to a Perseus, and created Alpha wing. 

What other ships do you have in Alpha?  Is is single or multi?

It's single, I'm checking for rogue tables but I don't seem to be finding any... I have a hunch I have something amiss with my MVPs
