Hey all,

I was wondering, is there a good free message board provider out there on the web that can provide decent security? Because some friends use InvisionFree, but it seems to be a "Welcome to hakcers" neon sign, and they don't know any other free board providers.

The only one I know is ProBoards, but I used it for like... one month.

And I'll add to my question, is a good free board provider something possible  ?

I really appreciate the offer, however, I am not the one owning that would own the message board - I'm on a mission to seek providers. The board is a Red Faction clan's message board. So it is mainly used to post stuff like news, wars with other clans, member list, try-outs and of course, clan discussion. There are also signature competitions from time to time, so picture support is needed, but the host does not need to host the picture files.

I frequented a couple of FS related ezboards around 2000. As far as I could see, ezboard was pretty good for a free service and was popular with Squadwar squads, but that was back then. I have no idea what they're like today.

and i cant think of any others. If you google it you will find of ****ty ones:P, i head of a improved invisionfree board out...somewhere... jbx.net or something, unsure.

Free forum, no ads when your logged in, fully customizable. You can make just about everything and change the colors to what you want.

SMF is a good choice (it's HLP's software of choice) but you need a server to host it on.
