Is there anyway to download subtitle tracks seperately for movies in foreign languages?
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Open Subtitles or Subscene should have what you're looking for.

Boystrous 19 year old temp at work slapped me in the face with an envelope and laughed it off as playful. So I shoved him over a desk and laughed it off as playful. It's on camera so I can plead reasonable force.  Temp is now passive.

I downloaded one from subscene, while the subtitle worked it also made the film totally unwatchable because the video became really jerky, although the sound is still smooth. Any idea of the cause?

There should be an .srt subtitle file along with the video. If there isn't, there are locations you can go to get subtitles in various languages for particular movies. You just need to have a look around.

the filters to apply subtitles should come as part of ffdshow. but you still have to find subtitle files to go with them. im sure it wouldnt be hard to find fan-created subtitles if offitial ones dont exist.

Guys, I found a subtitle, but it messed up the framerate, why?

Personally, me love Media Player Classic long time.

The CCCP is generally the way to go for such things, I believe.

:wtf: is Storm? Never heard of it.

If it is a codec pack. Uninstall it, go to the CCCP site linked above, use Insurgent to get rid of any leftovers. Then install CCCP. Or if you prefer stand-alone players, don't install CCCP but VLC or SMPlayer.

Storm is a stand-alone media player that seems to work pretty well, it can play anything without needing to download extra codecs.

Apparently it has its flaws if it can't play subtitles properly. Try VLC or SMPlayer.

That gave me an idea, I forgot I was using the bleeding edge version so I went back to the previous version. Now it seems to work just fine, thanks.
