2/ My second question is about creating a skybox... How are you doing this ? Do you know any quick turorial or ... ?

1/ nvDXT is probably the best converter out there. It's free and it gives a whole load of options. It's a command-line tool, but you'll get used to that easily.

2/ Rip a skybox from an existing mod (Blue Planet had some, for example) and change its textures in PCS2.

DDS converter 2. Can convert a whole bunch of file formats into .dds. Can convert batches and isn't some ****ty command line tool.

You can either take an existing skybox/sphere from someone's mod and change the texture for it (creating a good looking texture is by far the hardest part) or create the model yourself. Which just has to be 60-64km big, flipped and needs the textures you have for it.
